About us
Maison Ékaza
Rooted in Culture
Maison Ékaza is a platform dedicated to showcasing Gabonese cultural heritage and broader African artistry through two parallel missions: curating collectible objects with historical or artisanal value, and representing contemporary artists from Gabon seeking international visibility. From heritage sculptures and rare materials to original works by emerging talents, every piece we share reflects a story worth telling.
Ékaza means “bridge” in the Fang tribal language, a fitting name for a space that connects creators and collectors, tradition and innovation, Gabon and the wider world.
The Heart Behind Maison Ékaza
Maison Ékaza was born from a deep connection to Gabon’s landscapes, artistic traditions, and underrepresented creative voices.
At Maison Ékaza, we work directly with artists and trusted cooperatives to present both, contemporary creations and historically rooted objects. Some are anonymous but culturally meaningful; others are one-of-a-kind works by living artists we are proud to represent. We welcome diverse expressions, from painting and sculpture to photography and conceptual work. Every item is curated with care, authenticity, and a clear sense of origin.
